Ever wondered how science helps us explore and conserve art? In this talk, Dr Nadia Lau, Curator (Chih Lo Lou) of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, and Ms May Long, Assistant Curator I of the Conservation Office, explore how they explore the museum’s Chinese painting collection through both artistic and scientific lenses. They will introduce traditional materials, as well as the scientific techniques and knowledge behind conservation, offering audiences an insider’s look at the meticulous work that keeps these cultural treasures alive.
